Kitchen 43

A twelve-minute musical about six freshers navigating their first night in university halls. When they share a mysterious gummy, the flatmates find themselves exposing truths that challenge the identities they had carefully crafted for this new chapter of their lives. From a devoted Spice Girls enthusiast to a self-proclaimed foot fetishist, a lad who really loves their mum, a fake vegan and two girls navigating the uncharted territory of kissing (!!!), the bonds between the flatmates strengthen unexpectedly during their initial 12 hours in Kitchen 43.

This show was written for the Almeida Young Company as part of their In The Deep showcase that took place in June 2023 at the Almeida Theatre. It was then restaged for Camden People’s Theatre’s PRIDE Festival.
